“Jessica’s passion for what she loves comes out and is a warm embrace.”

Michael Abate, Massage Therapist

A graduate of the Massage Academy of the Poconos, Jessica earned her Pennsylvania state massage therapy license in June of 2014. A self-proclaimed anatomy nerd, Jessica loves learning about the innate healing potential of the human body.

You can find her at the Massage Academy of the Poconos clinic on Sundays, as well as weekdays at Sue’s Massage in Bangor, PA through the summer of 2014. Jessica has also begun a private practice through a shared space with her mother and fellow LMT for almost 10 years, Angela Serrano. Located in a charming 100-year-old remodeled carriage house behind their family property in Bangor, PA Jessica plans to build her practice after the arrival of her second daughter this August with offerings in massage, yoga, and reiki for individuals as well as for couples.

A certified yoga instructor, Jessica trained at Sundari Yoga & Wellness in Northeast Pennsylvania for 5 years before joining their teacher-training program under the guidance of Jennifer Allen Logosso and Chris Loebsack in 2009 and plans to continue studying and teaching yoga in the Northeast PA Region. Jessica says her most inspired classes come in the form of playful yet challenging vinyasa flows grounded in the Ashtanga tradition – which she practices regularly at home and admires for its potential to heal, transform, and promote clarity of mind through discipline.

Jessica’s interests in a variety of healing modalities has led her to expand her studies into learning more about energy work as well and she has completed three trainings in Usui Reiki, the most recent earning her a Reiki Master/Educator certification.

She hopes to bring the healing attention of metta, or loving kindness through hands on assists to her students and clients as she deepens her exploration into Thai inspired bodywork and more in the near future.
